Polyethylene foam sheets are used for the production of life preservers, preformed packaging, design objects, or for filling the inside of customized professional suitcases.
Obtained by extrusion, they are also used as thermal and acoustic insulators. They are made by hot lamination of several layers of material. They have a closed-cell structure that makes them resistant to rot, aging and chemical inertness. They are cheap and easy to work with and have low water absorption.

Polyethylene foam sheets can be of two versions:

  • With non-cross-linked polyethylene foam: with durable, lightweight and flexible consistency, it provides excellent resistance to deformation and shock and vibration. It is water-resistant and insulating and is used in the packaging of computers, coffee machines, and cash registers.
  • With cross-linked polyethylene foam: soft and elastic in texture, with excellent resistance to shock and vibration, thermal insulation, weathering and mold but low water absorption. It is used for the production of swimming pool material and sports mats.

They are available in various thicknesses and sizes.
